Membership Platform Benefits

Aurora offers a simple, easy to use Membership solution, allowing a Group owner to easily create, administer, & export/import a group of members & subscribers.

This provide a large number of benefits for the group, group admins, members, & subscribers, with a central trusted data source, which members can view or extend their membership, subscribers can add or remove themselves (with double opt-in by default) & much more.

Member Admins

• can modify the name of the group
• can change the group image
• can edit the shared group information (e.g. this instruction page)
• can add a member
• can edit any member
• can change member privileges
• can manage & administer a list of members
• can add, remove, or update members
• can manage membership expiry dates
• can alter expiry date for any members
• can adjust whether a member is active or inactive (affecting the number of active users)
• can adjust members access to make or remove admin privileges
• can add tags to each user, to help with user profiling and filtering (added separated by comma)
• can remove or adjust tags on each user
• can member admins can edit the shared membership page
• can export, edit & import members list (CSV format), including status, role, 
• can generate membership & extension codes
• can add comments
• can view audit history of any changes made to a member's settings & details

 

Members

• each member being able to log in (with an Aurora account) & see membership status, subscription status 
• each member can view expiry date
• each member can view a shared membership page
• each member can slide subscribe/unsubscribe from the /account page
• can use extension codes to extend or set a new membership expiry date

 

Subscribers

• can subscribe (using link https://www.auroraforgood.com/subscribe?id=100&tags=tagname) - simply change the id=# to match the membership group number (e.g. 100). The tag is stored against the user.
• can unsubscribe (using link https://www.auroraforgood.com/unsubscribe?id=100 ) - simply change the id=# to match the membership group number (e.g. 100)

 

Subscription Logic:

• Subscription uses a double opt-in process. After subscription, the member needs to confirm the link in the email. Until this point, the subscription is classified as pending
• Once subscribed, they can unsubscribe & re-subscribe using the links, or via their /account screen without needing to verify their email address again.
• In an 'emergency', admin can overwrite this double-opt in by exporting, editing and importing the membership list

 

Group Extensions & Modifications

• Membership can be extended at any time with a group extension code.
• The maximum number of members can be changed at any time with a group extension code. Any remaining time at time of code entry will be allocated proportionally according to the number of members before and after.

 

How to make the most of Membership & Subscription

• Membership systems can easily be implemented, & updated based on member status, renewal confirmation, expiry & more
• The member CSV file can be exported, modified if necessary, & then imported into other platforms, such as Mail Chimp or Active Campaign, a CRM e.g. Zoho, or used for mailing purposes
• By groups being able to easily gain subscribers, and convert these to members, the tool can allow for easy list building.
• Lists can be built, using tags to help differentiate between the origins
